KVLA Design offers planning, landscape design, development and horticultural consulting services under the direction of Landscape Architect, Steve Kvarnberg. Steve is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, ASLA; Council of Landscape Architecture Registration Board (CLARB) and is a registered Landscape Architect in the State of Florida, #LA1506. He earned a Master's in Landscape Architecture, MLA 1987, from the University of Michigan's School of Natural Resources, where he graduated with the ASLA Award of Honor. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Forestry, BSF, with distinction, 1985, from the University of Michigan.
Steve has over 20 years of professional experience on a diverse array of community, commercial, resort and development projects. His interests are wide ranging and multi-faceted.... a combination of experiences steeped in an appreciation and understanding of ecology, design, construction, technology and business.
From conceptualization through design documentation and implementation, Steve's experience is distinguished by getting projects built that have artistic substance, quality materials and a unique character. Possessing an intimate knowledge of the development process, Steve has proven, time and again, to be a valued, insightful member of an Owner's consultant team.
As a complement to his professional skills, Steve's built work is an inspired version of craft and style. Having worked along-side many talented professionals, craftsmen, artists and operators, his abilities and talents have been shaped in unique and invaluable ways.
